of renewable energy. The regulatory requirements for a BESS differ depend
ing on the geographical market. The newly implemented EU Battery Regulatio
n (Regulation 2023/1542) sets out specific safety requirements for Station
ary battery Energy Storage systems in addition to the sustainability requi
rements. For the US market there are other requirements from the National
codes on the BESS such as testing and listing by an NRTL. This course will
go through the legislation and regulatory requirements for BESS when put
on the European and the North American market. During this half-day course
